Sports Andhbhakt

A person who blindly supports a sport, team, athlete, or sporting institution to the point where they reject facts, dismiss criticism, and justify harmful behaviour. To them, questioning the sport or its heroes is seen as an attack rather than an opportunity for improvement.

Person A: There have been studies linking football matches to increases in domestic violence, hooliganism, racism, and vandalism. We should be talking about these issues too.

Sports Andhbhakt: Stop spreading negativity. Football only unites people. If you don't like it, don't watch it.

Person A: I love football. That's exactly why I think we should acknowledge both its strengths and its flaws.
