They are a melodic death metal band from Sweden. Whoever the hell hinks they are black metal is a complete and total fucktard.

The band is know for their synchronised headbanging and viking themed lyrics. They took their band name from J.R.R. Tolkiens "The Lord of the Rings". It means "Mount Doom" in Sindarin, an elvish language invented by Tolkien.

Man, Amon Amarth kick so much ass, they are my favorite band.

Seriously, Dragonforce could learn a thing or two from the songwriter. They have an excellent sound, and they are one of the best heavy metal bands of modern times. This is a band that TRUE metal fans appreciate.
