Above the waist lesbian. A girl who is attracted to other girls but keeps it above the waist. Very common among young women in their mid twenties and early thirties. Also ATWLes in the gym teacher community. Commonly mispronounces as WULez or waist up lesbian, which is much less endearing.

Girl 2: You are such an ATWLez
Girl 1: I also like reggae, smoking blunt, and eating cereal
