colourway

A term, used by trainer fashionistas, to describe a particular colour combination used in the design of an item of footwear. Also used by said cognoscenti to identify those in the know (obsessive seakers of elusive, very limited colourways) from mere mortals (those foolish enough to buy any old mass-produced colourway).

This word can, I reckon, be applied to any article, or item that is available in a variety of colour combinations.

"If you didn't already know about the super-limited Futura colourways on the new Bathing Ape ***** you don't deserve to own them."

A term used by Homer Simpson during the episode 'Sunday, Cruddy, Sunday'. It's an obvious reference to the 1979 song 'Escape' by Rupert Holmes (also known as the pina colada song)
