game spam

Announcements (primarily on Facebook) that "so and so has reached level 75 on Farmville, (or Cafe World, Mafia Wars or whatever game) and they want you to share the prize". To fellow game players they give you a chance to pick up special items for free, but to non-gamers they only litter someone's home page and give you page after page of announcements that you don't care about. These announcements are usually created automatically by the application.

It is simple to block the announcements from any given application, but many people take the easy way out and unfriend the game player, thereby missing out on other worthwhile items the game player may post.

Joe, did you unfriend me on Facebook?

Yeah, I was getting sick of all that game spam.

You know you can turn it off!

Keyword spam

The act of spouting relevant sounding words in an attempt to give the impression one actually knows what the fuck they are talking about.

Does not work against people who actually know what the fuck you are talking about.

Keyboard Spam

A keyboard spam is when someone smashes random letters on their keyboard, whether it be via mobile, desktop, or otherwise. Most of the time, keyboard spams have no literal connotation, they're just... Well, spams.
Someone could keyboard spam for various reasons. I, personally, keyboard spam when one of my friends says something that makes my brain go "alkajskahsuejsbsjd." But you could also spam out of frustration, excitement, speechlessness, embarrassment, or just pure boredom.
Keyboard spams can be followed by or placed after sentences (coherent or not), or just by themselves.

*Keyboard spam example: Flustered*
Friend 1: "Thanks, Darling. :)"
Friend 2: "akhekshrkegjevrj WHAG DID YOU JUST CALL ME"

*Keyboard spam example: Boredom*
Friend 1: "I'm bored.
Friend 2: "kssjebsjshdje"
Friend 1: "Same bro, same."

Chanckin' yer Spam

Similar to "jerking your chain", this is phrase is used to say "just kidding". It is rooted in the common helpdesk response to "Check your spam (email box)" when an intended email did not reach it's destination. As if the recipient did not think of that...; Shortened version: jus' chanckin'

Maybe you should log off and reboot in safe mode....nah, just Chanckin' yer Spam. Your computer's fucked.
