waste of weather 

When you can't take advantage of the weather because of other commitments or constrains, and e.g. the sunny day therefore loses its appeal and makes you slightly bitter, you feel that this is a waste of weather.

On the last day of our vacation the rain finally stopped, but we had to spent it at the airport. What a waste of weather!

Perfect conditions for skydiving, but I have to go to work, it's such a waste of weather.

The Wanted have such amazing concerts that after you have experienced it, like a drug, you need more of it.
