ReTweet-Delete

Replying to someone's twitter feed with a dumb joke, leaving it there just long enough for said person to read it, then deleting it to avoid embarrassment from followers.

I retweeted a friend's "...gonna be hard enough." with "that's what she said. #TWSS | #LOL" then five minutes later retweet-deleted it, cause I know his wife follows him.

secret delete

Placing a friend on "hide" in your facebook news feed. In essence not being able to read every little thing happening within their personal bubble.

Simply put...you can secret delete someone you would like to delete from your friendlist, but don't want to go through the agonizing experience of having to explain it to them.

Jim: Hey, Joe...did you read what that moron Dave posted as his Facebook status last night? Simply the dumbest thing I have ever read.

Joe: No, I've had him on secret delete for a couple weeks now. He is such a feedclogger If I didn't work with him I would have deleted him completely.

soft delete

To mark a record in a database for deletion or to temporarily prevent it from being selected. In order to actually delete the record, a "hard" delete or "permanent" delete function must be performed.

soft delete: Removing less important players in a team before a match..to utilize them at a later point.
EX: He has been soft deleted from the team

Used when texting as a replacement for what you really want to say, as in, you've typed and deleted several responses already but can't quite get the wording right . Let's the recipient know that you are mulling over the response and not ignoring the question.
