Memorable quote from 1990 movie House Party starring the popular rap duo Kid N Play.
The movie also featured up and coming black actors like Martin Lawerance and Tisha Campbell.
The scene is a high school cafeteria were Kid inadvertantly causes Stab to spill his milk.
Stab is sitting with Zilla and Pee-Wee. All three bully Kid and before proceeding to beat him up say in a chorus:"I smell something, man.

A figurative term meaning to check if someone is being honest. Comes from Riskay 's song "Smell Yo Dick" about checking for infidelity, but has since come into usage in a business setting.

Jimmy: "So we are giving you exclusive access to this special deal for $35k since you are our absolute favorite client."
Peter: "Johnson, can you call up Willy from Cox-Zucker and see what they were offered?"
Jimmy: "Wait, what? You don't trust me?"
Johnson: "Willy confirms an offer of $29k."
Jimmy: "Well I never! That's preposterous!"
Peter: " Sorry buddy, had to go ahead and smell your dick on this one. And it stinks. Well, so much for this deal. Later, Jimmy."

new car smell

The smell associated with a recently manufactured motor vehicle. The smell is usually produced by a number of plastics, glues and other treatments applied to the car during the manufacturing process of the vehicle. After a few months, the presence of the smell inside most vehicles decreases markedly thus making it a "new car smell".

Due to the presence of this smell uniquely in newly manufactured cars, there is a certain air of prestigous associated with owning a car that has a "new car smell".

Oh, I love this car, it's got a lovely new car smell. Did you purchase it recently?

Heroically coined by morning jock Elliot Segal on DC101 as a t-shirt design. it means absolutely nothing except when you say it, you gotta say it like white trash. it also makes a great insult when you can't think of anything to say.

Say i was going to the White House but couldn't figure out which tux I'd want to wear. Then i'd probably just put on my "Smell My Face" t-shirt and some jeans i wore the day before
