Planking

Planking is a fad that involves people lying "like a plank" in various random places, such as on top of poles and on public transport. The aim is to be as creative as possible.

Planking began as an obscure fad in South Australia. It gained notority when a "planker" in Brisbane, Australia was intoxicated and planked on the side of a balcony, subsequently falling to his death.

Plankers are encouraged to be creative but safe.

Girl: Did I show you the picture of the planker on the railway tracks?

Guy: Yeah, right after you showed me the pic of the host of the morning show planking on her couch.

Guy 1: Steve planked on a paint can on the weekend. You could see the mark on his stomach afterwards.

Guy 2: Bet he was drunk.
