sick puppy

(n) a mentally disturbed, insane, or attention-seaking person that does or says revolting, disgusting, or bizarre things.
OR
a person who says or does twisted or gross things (but is not necessarily insane)

The origin of this slang word is unknown, but it probably comes from the fact that puppies eat their own vomit and feces, especially when sick.

A combination of the phrases puppy love and crush. Generally with the same meaning, often describes having an extreme crush on someone that will never turn into real love or a real relationship.

Micky has a huge puppy crush on that famous Welsh actor, even though they will never meet.

Cindy has a puppy crush on the head of the football team, even though he's never noticed her. She still likes to think they will get together someday.
