Intelligent People

"You see, intelligent people think that their intelligence matters but really all that matters is your ability to get people to lie for me and my religion to hide my shame" ~ Dr. JeepJorp
Iam "Wait. Was Dr. JeepJorp here earlier?"

Hym "Yeah, uh, he did the public service announcement. Explaining the anti-theft protocol."

Iam "What!? Where was I!?"

Hym 🤷 ♂️ "I donno. YOU KNOW I can't see while you're not doing the sonar, right? Like it's a problem for you to not be doing that actively right now."

Iam "Shoot. See, that's the problem with the sonar. I am missing all the good stuff while I'm doing that and, now look, I missed Dr. JeepJorp. This lame."

Hym "I'm fully aware of how 'lame'it is but I also need to see. Soooo....."

Iam 😑 "............ Boong.... Boong.... Boong..."

Hym "There it is. Sweet sweet vision... Kind of... *sigh* that's the good stuff. Alright. What were we talking about? Intelligent people?"

Intelligent Biases

The set of biases that afflict people with above‑average cognitive abilities: the bias blind spot (thinking one is less biased than others), overconfidence in one’s reasoning speed, the illusion of objectivity, and the tendency to use sophistication to avoid simple truths. Intelligent biases are often harder to correct because the biased person uses their intelligence to defend the bias.
Intelligent Biases Example: “The debate club was full of intelligent biases: everyone could spot fallacies in opponents, but no one noticed their own group’s logical leaps.”

Intelligent Bias

A bias that paradoxically results from high intelligence or critical thinking skills when they are applied selectively. For example, an intelligent person may be better at rationalising their existing beliefs (motivated reasoning), finding flaws in opposing arguments while ignoring weaknesses in their own, or using their cognitive abilities to manipulate others. Intelligent bias is dangerous because it wears the mask of rationality.
Intelligent Bias Example: “He was brilliant at dissecting the flaws in her evidence, but never turned that same scrutiny on his own sources. Intelligent bias: smart rationalisation, not smart reasoning.”

quasi-intelligent bullshit

an explanation, excuse, or presentation created through the knowledge of quasi-related topics to give the impression of being knowledgeable on a specific subject. Common tactic of the bullshit artist and other intelligent lairs
I forgot to read the textbook chapter and my teacher called on me, so I so I made some quasi-intelligent bullshit out of the previous chapter and some random knowledge I had.

Insufficiently intelligent

A stupid person or just being dumb in general
The boy declared that his girlfriend was INSUFFICIENTLY INTELLIGENT

pseudo-intelligent

Used to describe one who attempts to flex intellect that does not exist within his or her own mind.

Can probably be found with a thesaurus in hand, while in a chat room, looking up new insults that are synonymous with "stupid" in order to boost his or her own undeserved ego.

Typical cases of pseudo-intelligence involve pre-pubescent 15 year olds that think they have everything figured out, including, but not limited to: life, religion, politics, education, and sex. Ironically, they have never quite experienced either of the aforementioned.

Pretends he or she has an opinion.

Posseses a severe tendency to blindly and wholeheartedly believe any bullshit they hear, only to subsequently regurgitate the misinformation to anyone they see in an asinine attempt to appear more intelligent than a used, broken condom.

Should the victim of the verbal onslaught happen to have a differing opinion, the pseudo-intelligent individual will revert to his or her thesaurus and insult the opposition with words he or she never knew existed, and probably cannot even pronounce.

Annoyingly and constantly refers to the word antidisestablishmentarianism, as if knowledge of said word defined his or her illegitimately high intelligence quotient.

Typically a hypocrite; creates many, many contradictions. Most online grammar/spelling Nazis can relate.

Always ends a bullshit "argument" with, "I win, so stfu." Win what, dipshits? Your opinions weren't fact in the first place.
<Pseudo-Intelligent individual> Omg. You are Stupid. You are an idiot for not agreeing with everything I say. I know I'm right, even though I know nothing about the subject, because my friend knows someone that read someone's blog somewhere that mentioned something about it. I win, so stfu, you unintelligent moron. God, your stupid. You're such a stupid idiot. Antidisestablishmentarianism.
