WAH-wahs

This is the repeating "whomp whomp whomp"sound that you can get from doing whip-its. Kind of like when a guitarist uses his whammy bar on a long note when your head is really close to the speaker. Its actually hypoxemia from low levels of oxygen mixed with other gases (in this case a propellant called nitrous oxide) in your blood stream.

I heard about this guy who did crazy shit to get the Wah-wahs. He even robbed a dentist office to go scuba diving.

Up the Wahs

A saying proudly exclaimed by fans of the New Zealand Warriors, one of the teams that competes in the National Rugby League (NRL) competition played in Australia and New Zealand.

The basic meaning is "Go the Warriors!", with "Wahs" being short for "Warriors".

The saying is taken from the term "up the wazoo" which usually describes an excessive amount of something (literally, "up the arse"). But obviously the meaning has been modified to fit the Warriors.

"Are you gonna watch the Warriors game tonight?"

"Hell yeah, up the Wahs!"
