The term used to describe a transsexual's journey from appearing like their birth sex to their actual gender. Often includes HRT and surgery of some kind.

Transitioning can be very painful, but in the long run it's worth it to just be yourself.

Transition Era

Also simply called the "Transition", this is the time period between the 80s and 90s, from 1989 to 1991, possibly very early 1992. This corresponds with the administration of George Bush. The Cold War was over, but the 90s had not started yet since Bill Clinton was not yet in office. Cartoons of the time period were Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (along with their live-action movies) at the height of their popularity, the Nicktoons like Dough, Ren and Stimpy,and Rugrats, Captain Planet, and the latest Super Mario brothers cartoons to name a few. USA's cartoon express was still stubbornly hanging on though. This was also when music made a change from the 80s "hair bands" to the Seattle Sound and the grunge scene. Hip hop and rap were becoming more mainstream. The fashion was somewhat of a hybrid with 80s and 90s, neon colors remaining popular. This is also the same time that The Simpsonsfull length episodes premiered on the young FOX Network.

The Transition Era was awkward for all involved due to the drastic changes that occured. This has not occured before and so far not since.

An album made by 311 which was released in mid 1997. The collection includes songs such as "Prisoner","Transistor",and their big hit "Beautiful Disaster". The album has over 20 songs which vary from hard rocking stuff to electronic tunes to melodic laid back tunes. A great overall 311 album for you to pick up if interested in the band.

Josef was a "transitional joe" for Casey, after she broke up with Steven. It got her mind off of the bad times she was going through, her transition between being taken to being single.

Part of a circuit formed with a unijunction transistor and a capacitor. It creates a triangle wave and can be used as a timer instead of a 555 timer.

Why exactly you would look up this "smart" thing on urban dictionary is a long mystery.

He used a Unijunction Transistor relaxation Oscillator to create a flashing light to annoy his friends while they slept.
