LAN party smell

The way your computer usually smells after a LAN party.

Although this also goes for massive LAN parties, it's especially appliable for private LAN parties.

When you are playing with friends at private LAN parties, they are most of the time held in relatively small rooms with bad air ventilation (like garages or living rooms). Sitting with at least eight people in a small room breathing the same air with running computers for a whole night long gives the air a nasty smell. When you are in it yourself you don't really notice it (ever been in a bar?). When there are smokers there (this is in 99% of the cases true) it makes it a lot worse.

Computers circulate air trough the case with fans to cool the components inside. If your computer runs all night in an enviroment like that, it has circulated a lot of that air trough it. So, the next day when you come home and turn your computer on for the first time, you'll get a blast of nasty air out of the back of the case. Usually it takes at least 2 days of full running time before it disappears.

A Uri Geller Smeller is named after the man who claimed he could bend spoons and stop clocks just by looking at them, and is the result of a violent incident of "sitting on a mortar" after a bad curry, when the foul miasma emanates from the WC and works its way around the house bending spoons and stopping clocks as it goes.

Postman: "I shouldn't go to number 10 Downing Street with your warrant just yet without a gas mask, Officer. There's been an incident, a real Uri Geller Smeller."

7 eleven smell

The smell acquired upon entrance into any 7 eleven in the United States. The stench consists of a mixture of cigarettes, urinal cakes, and slurpee that soaks into ones clothing. Smell can linger up to a half a day on a person.

"What is that stench Harold, it smells like you have been hanging out in a urinal smoking cigarettes and drinking a slurpee".

"No man quite the contrary, I just ran into 7 eleven to pick up some slimjims and in the process acquired that odd 7 eleven smell".

Lacrosse Smell

Lacrosse Smell is a smell that is earned from playing lacrosse. It is a mix of melted old spice antiperspirant, sweat, blood, mildew, dirt, and piss. It is usually not recognized by someone who plays lacrosse because they are used to it. You can avoid the smell by cleaning yourself and your pads. If you are curious what it smells like go to a boys lacrosse game and hug the players you will understand.

sick smell

The 'sick smell' is the odor one smells when one is sick. No one else can smell it but you. If you have a bad cold or the flu, and everythign smells weird and gross, you have the sick smell.

I was feeling a little better from my cold, and I was about to eat dinner until that damned sick smell made me lose my appetite.
