Homies are a group of friends (usually guys) that all try to get each other a girlfriend before their friendship breaks. Think of it as traveling. The destination is for all the homies to get a girlfriend, but on the journey they’re going to get homo.
Homie at school#1: hey I’m going to hang with the homies after school, you coming.
Homie at school#2: yeah sure, my parents won’t mind.

A "Homie" is another term for Close Friend, or Best Friend. Homie is commonly used by people from East Coast and West, mostly in urban areas and cities, and people who are fans of Rap and Hip-hop. Anyone can use this word, but it is often depicted as a "African American" word, or "Gangster Slang".
