Legit being a shortened for of legitimate. Used to describe people who were once romantically involved (often in an affair) but are presently hiding their attraction and claiming to be just friends.

A word often used by people in order to sound really cool, yet does exactly the opposite. They often are wearing A&F clothing while saying this made up word. The neon glow of their clothing often obscures their visage so they are rarely seen.
