Toxic Gamer

Generally aged 5-10 years old, this person has severe insecurity issues. So much so, in fact, that when they go onto an online game, they attempt to bring down their opponents (and sometimes even their teammates) by bullying them, targeting them in games, and slandering them over the game chat.

They are sore losers, too, and refuse to believe that anyone who beats them at an online game is a skilled player, and not some form of a hacker who "used scripts" to beat them.

A video gamer who hogs health packs, camps ammo spawns, hoardes power-ups, bogarts controllers, is a notorious kill stealer, and always over-collects coins, even though you can't buy anything with them. Also known to be stingy with XP (Experience Points).

Gamergate

A word used to describe the events following on from an otherwise minor scandal, where rumors that a games journalist had a relationship with a developer that he hadn't disclosed during his coverage were met with a series of articles from across the specialized gaming press, in an apparent attempt to demonize their own readership, coordinated behind the scenes on a secret mailing list.

Gamergate represented a massive failure of journalistic ethics and was responsible for a number of people losing trust in games related media and even the wider news industry.

Gamer moment

When a person, often a gamer, uses the n-word, without being in possession of a n-word pass.

When used in conjunction with "epic" the impact is lessened. Only used when the situation is not explicitly racist.

Gamer's Sweat

Occurs because of two main reasons:
1: An intense Team Deathmatch is going down causing your pits to become wet and soggy.
2: That camping noob has pissed you off to the point your rage has heated your body and caused you to perspire.

After 3 hours of "intense battle"

Gamer 1: Ah man, that was close. Can't believe we won it.

Gamer 2: Yeah. All right I think I'm gonna get off Live for a while. *stands up and looks at his arm pits*
