Degrassi

Degrassi is a Canadian TV show franchise comprised of five respective shows. The first Degrassi show aired in 1979 and the last Degrassi show to date aired in 2016.

The general theme of the shows follow children and teenagers as they grow up. Degrassi was/is considered groundbreaking, as the shows touched on many taboo subjects for the times, such as teen pregnancy, same-sex relationships and mental illness.

Degrassi is a large franchise that nurtured many young stars, such as Sara Waisglass, Drake, Nina Dobrev, Jake Epstein, Stephen Amell, Shenae Grimes, and Chelsea Clark.
