A portmanteau of digress + grass (marijuana). Meaning to take time off to smoke marijuana, or to explain going off on a weird conversational tangent as being the effects of marijuana.

Recently pronounced "God" by Jon Stewart on the Daily Show due to his ability to explain why the tides go in and out. (The moon's gravitational pull, in case you were wondering).

Degrassi 

a great Canadian show for teens that deals with all kinds of issues, such as pregnancy, rape, homosexuality, self mutillation, parental abuse, abusive relationships, death, cancer, growing up, and relationships. Some people dont give it a chance because it seems "corny," but its actually a good show.

Ashley, Manny, Emma, Ellie, Liberty, Terri, Hazel, Paige, Kendra, Nadia, Jimmy, Sean, Spinner, Craig, Marco, Dylan.

Neil DeGrasse Tyson is a astrophysicist who is famous for his lectures and most recently hosting Cosmos: A space time odyssey.
Tyson is known for his sometimes comedic approach to explaining science and for inspiring others to look to the field of science.

Circle of Digression 

Imaginary circle one steps or moves into when going off on a tangent during lively intellectual conversation.

They were having a rollicking discussion when he suddenly veered off topic. This was made all the more obvious by scooting his chair over just a tish (titch, skosh, trifle) and announcing that he was now inside the Circle of Digression.

Degrassi Junior High 

A follow up of the show "The Kids of Degrassi Street". Degrassi Junior High is an 80's Canadian show filmed in Toronto; about teens dealing with issues of drugs, sex/pregnancy, family abuse, dating, shop lifting, and other coming of age issues. The episodes are usually dramatic and hilarious at the same time. This also spawned another great show “Degrassi High” and a TV movie “Degrassi: Schools Out” and a less creative show “Degrassi: Next Generation”. This show had some funny lines such as You broomhead!

Digressting 

An interesting, engaging way of deviating or wandering away from the main topic or purpose when debating; departing from the principal line of argument, plot, study, etc. in order to confuse the opponent and utilise the confusion by declaring victory after the opponent confesses they do not follow. When an argument in itself is a digression and possibly nonfactual or entirely false, yet holds the attention or curiosity of the observer.

Coined by a Finnish man, who wished to remain anonymous.

His argument was, in the end, merely digressting.
