West Florence High School gets its name from an old wooden warship used by the Confederacy during the Civil War. In the school's early days there were no walls. Classrooms within each pod cantained marijuana plants, allowing students to sleep in hammocks crafted from Richard Simmons back hair. This failed and walls were added later. The traffic getting to West Florence is anal clenching. During the early 1970's the school was ranked #1 in the nation for drug use. Principal "The Drunk" is plastered everyday before noon and can often be found grillin' patties on her George Foreman Grill in the mall area. If one is thinking about going to West, One should rethink it. Its overcrowdednessess has many students contemplating becoming crack whores. As freshman students attend classes dressed as different types of Pokémon. It is also advised that students wear blue shirts on Wednesday and yellow shirts on Friday; it is tradition after all. The school is located across the street from a Walmart. Good deals there if you have coupns.
West even has Advanced Placement classes such as: Fecal Anthropology, Dave Chappelle-onomics, and Intro. to Ditch Digging. West does very well in sports (sometimes); the track and X-country teams run like oiled gazelles and the Golf team screams so loud the birds rattle out of their trees. The Varsity football team is known to be "angrier than ten screaming midgets" after their upsetting 1-10 season. The school mascot is Sloth off the Goonies.

Florida is flat, hot, tropical, with beaches wrapped around. It's mostly summertime here, with "cooler" months between November and March. Expect temperatures between 35-75 during that time of the year, and it will still get pretty warm on some days.
Florida is home to some pretty big colleges: USF, UNF, UCF, FSU, and UF, all of whom have about 30k or more students. The crowd you experience depends on where you go: city people in Tampa and Orlando, youngsters near campus areas, Miami is Havana, Jacksonville is a big beach town, and many small quiet places.
It does not have the mountainous terrain that other places have, Florida is best for beach and city life. There are many people here with college and some career opportunities, however, it does not have the seasonal, outdoorsy life that some enjoy in places like NC, NH, and CO. Floridians generally live slow here, it is not the fast-paced Mid-Atlantic life that some like.

Get the emily flores mug.From killer smog caused by factory pollutants to the gangs on moncrief road, Jacksonville is the place for your family and kids to come, downtown Jacksonville looks like a cut city off the walking dead with homeless people mindlessly roaming the streets and every corner, food hospitality is great just make sure you bring your bulletproof vest down to the local McDonalds and the low life scum of down town is phenomenal, as we get closer to the edges of Jacksonville you have Jacksonville beach, Red Tide, that dead fish smell and your local prostitute can all be found here don’t stay under the unfinished boardwalk for too long you might be ambushed by gangs and homeless people. North side is Rednecks and EastSide is the suburbs and WestSide is Gangs and Southside is upper class, don’t even get me started on the Terrible roads and unfinished construction that have been here for the past 30 years. The roads are all torn up and cracks and pot holes, and while your here get robbed and murdered at the half closed Regency mall, and the only solace is the St.Johns Towncenter and The Avenues Mall.
