Taken from the word matriarchy, a matrist is a person who blindly hates and is predjudice against men, with the goal of establishing a matriarchy. They generalize that woman are victims of men, and that all men are abusive and the cause of their problems. They enjoy belittling and demasculating men and often try to create opportunities to do so, especially online.

The matrist groups online got angry when people commented that everyone should be treated the same, and began to make their beliefs seem like common sense and yours like stupidity.

The matriarchist thinks all men are evil and enjoys teaming up with other matriarchists to harm them.
