like a mug

Slang intensifier. If you do something like a mug, you do it particularly much, or fast, or often, depending on the word. If you say "She was runnin' like a mug," for example, you mean that she was running really fast. Some say that the phrase derives from "like a motherf___er." I don't know about that, but it's an equivalent statement, so maybe so. William Gates uses the phrase "like a mug" in one of his interviews in the 1994 masterpiece Hoop Dreams.

Made popular by comedian Joey ''Coco'' Diaz. It's a step above like a boss. When you have total disregard for rules and SOP and just do whatever the fuck you want. A doctor could drive in oncoming traffic because they have to get to surgery, without reprocussions.

the carpool lane is for two or more people only but I used it the whole way to Seattle, like a doctor.

Because of the release of the movie "Love, Simon," some Tumblr users decided to make "I like your boots" code for "You're hot, are you gay too?" It's meant to be a phrase used by gays to detect other gays in the real world. The phrase is based on I like your shoelaces. Appropriate response is "I took them from a unicorn!"
