A slang term that actually began it's use in the late 60's/early 70's. Popularized by the pop culture of the time. Used to describe something very favorable or pleasing. Great. Very nice.

Cool Yo Ass

'Cool Yo Ass' is a phrase used to tell someone to either shut up, step back from a confrontation with the person who is saying the phrase or to tell an individual, or group of persons, to 'be cool', to 'calm down' and/or 'step back' from the situation.

'Cool Yo Ass' is a much much cooler way of saying 'calm down', 'chill out' or any other type of similar phrasing.

To 'Cool Yo Ass' is to either simply be cool or to 'have a Coke an a smile and chill the f**k out'

The action of 'Cool Yo Ass' (or more correctly 'Cooling Yo Ass') is to remain totally cool, calm and collective and basically 'brush the dirt off your shoulders' like it 'ain't no thang'.

This term was coined approximately around May 2009 in the city of Christchurch in Canterbury, New Zealand by a group of stand-up dudes who wish to remain nameless. So Cool Yo Ass...

Luke: "Oh my God! Duuuude, you just knocked that bouncer clean the fuck out!!! The cops are going to arrest us!!!"

Kane: "Cool Yo Ass."

Taken from the 1978 smash hit by Squeeze titled "Cool For Cats", the term is used to either speak of ones well being or of an object or event.

Tom: "Hey Lucas how's it going?"
Lucas: "I'm cool for cats, you?"

Sophia: "We're going to this party tonight Eric, wanna come?"

Eric: "Sounds cool for cats"

Cool kitty from Ybor City

A person who grew up on the mean streets of Ybor City in the 1940's and 1950's who caused trouble around the neighborhood, commonly known nowadays as a hooligan. This person, in his teen years, enjoyed wearing white t-shirts all the time with the sleeves rolled up. He went through his teens and 20's, basking in the light of his self-proclaimed Elvis look alike image, although who would really want to brag about resembling a rock and roll star who had overgrown sideburns, was hooked on drugs, and died of an overdose. this person ends up joining the army, gets stationed in Germany, and meets the local flan, jager, and beer hoarder. He ends up kidnapping the Nazi lover back to the US where he, still to this day, enslaves her. They end up married, have a daughter and an absolutely awesome son...despite his flaws. These days, this "cool kitty from Ybor City", is not so cool anymore. He tells bad jokes, thinks he knows everything, and hates Robin Williams, although he is a closet metro sexual. In closing and despite all his flaws, he is still the best father someone could ask for.
