A reflexive reaction, when driving an automobile, to a sudden obstacle or condition outside the car. The reaction can take the form of ducking one's head, swerving one's body to the side, or otherwise moving one's body. The reaction does not affect the steering or direction of the car, however. The reaction is typically irrational, given that the outside obstacle does not truly threaten the vehicle passengers.

Car hoppin
holding onto a car's rear bumper while being drug on your knees or belly along a severly iced/snowed over road. Kids wait on the side of the road for cars moving at 2 mph, then run out and grab the bumper. Some people drag their friends for fun. Most people are not aware of the extra passenger. A popular past time for kids on snow days. Propper atire usually includes redneck Carhart overalls and some shitty Tims.

Car Tinking
The act of throwing pennies at oncoming traffic from either the driver's seat, or back left seat of a moving car to achieve a 'tink' sound. This tink sound is a loud thwack on the receiving end. Timing is key so that windshields are not hit or broken. Occasionally nickels are used, by experienced tinkers, for a devastating effect.
