The Tree

The Tree, the large Oak tree in the middle if Midsummer Boulevard of c:mk in Milton Keynes. It was once the original home of the Treebos until they were moved on by the security. A Treebo may only become one if they spend a sufficient amount of time at the tree while in a large group of Treebos.

The Apple Tree

The Apple Tree is a three act musical with three different parts: the first being based on Mark Twain's The Diary of Adam and Eve, the second based on Frank R. Stockton's The Lady or the Tiger? and the third based off Passionella by Jules Feiffer. Each has its own story line, but all are tied together by the common theme of the relationship between man and woman, common musical themes, and common references such as "Why Brown?" The musical opened on October 18, 1966, at the Shubert Theatre (in New York), and ran for 463 performances, closing on November 25, 1967. It originally starred Barbara Harris(who won a Tony for Best Actress in a Musical for the role), Alan Alda, and Larry Blyden. The Apple Tree also received several other major Tony nominations: Alda for Best Actor in a Musical, Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick for Best Composer and Lyricist, Mike Nichols for Best Direction of a Musical, Lee Theodore for Best Choreography, and the show itself for Best Musical. The Roundabout Theatre Company, one of New York’s largest not-for-profit theatre companies, mounted a revival in December 2006 with Kristin Chenoweth, Brian D'Arcy James in Alda's roles and Marc Kudisch in Blyden's. The reviews commonly said the musical too dated but Chenoweth's performance kept audiences coming. The revival of the Apple Tree came to a close March 11,2007.

Shady Palm Tree

An adjective used to describe something or someone that is particularly shady, creepy, etc. Students in Southern California and particularly at San Dieguito Academy often use this word.

Shaking the Coconut Tree

To relieve rage/tension, an individual may find a coconut tree and shake it to release the fruit. In cases where the climate does not allow for natural coconuts, the individual may choose to find the nearest fruit-bearing tree and shake that instead.

Loc became so mad after hearing the bad news that he broke into my yard and shook all the peaches off of my peach tree, the look of rage dissipated from his face as he finished "shaking the coconut tree"

Happy Tree Friends Forums

See Happy Tree Friends. (The following definition is based on the cartoon's forums.)

A crazy place where spam runs rampant, furries talk about how they want to sex up the characters, emo and goth 8-11 year olds post about how they want to commit suicide and the occasional smartass enjoys flaming people on a totally unrelated topic. Also common is a thread which argues on a cartoon character's freaking gender.

The ratio for on-topic posts to spam is 1:12. Most on-topic threads aren't worth reading anyway because they'll turn into a flamefest within 5 posts.

In some cases, the boards have actually been used as an insult on other message boards. (i.e "Go back to the HTF forums you scum!")

If you like Happy Tree Friends, steer clear of the message boards because it will warp the way you see the show itself.
