1. The swindled, cheated, or hoodwinked party to any cheat, con, or hustle by a grifter.
2. The object, target, or "mark" of a scam by a gifter or con-man.
3. Formal: The formal counterpart of a grifter in a scam.

1. By furtively switching the griftee's briefcase with their own, the grifters were able to make off with over $1,000 of the griftee's money.
2. By using a phony brochure, the grifters convinced the griftee he was buying prime Florida real-estate, when in fact the griftee was purchasing reclaimed Florida swamp.

GROF

An internet shorthand for "Get Real or Fry."

It is used to bring someone who has lost a grasp on reality and are setting off on an unreal tangent that is not possible to fulfill in their lifetime.

Man 1: Kelly is fairly attractive.
Man 2: She is totally out of your league.
Man 1: I don't think she is. I intend to marry her.
Man 2: GROF, dude.
