Currently used to suggest that women are impressed by feats of strength or spectacular heroics. The phrase entered the pop culture vocabulary through a 1998 Nike ad featuring All-Star baseball players Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine, and Mark McGwire. In it the two skinny pitchers go on an intense training program to become home run hitters like beefy Mark McGwire.

Q: Bro, why did you run into traffic to save that hot girl's dog? You could have been killed.
A: You know . . . chicks dig the long ball.

Off putting upper lip hair on a female, generally used with otherwise attrative females since who cares if they're ugly anyway.

The female equivalent to the male saying "bros over hos." It means to put your ladies first, then your male partners second.

Chicks before Pricks

The female version of Bros before Hoes. Equal in meaning. Putting your female friends before your booty calls/bfs/exes etc.

There is also Chicks before Dicks, but this sounds better.

Jannett's Ex bf: Hey Jan, you wanna get together tonight?
Jannett: Hell no, I got a girls night out tonight. Chicks before Pricks.

"Your mouth is writing checks your ass can't cash," is something TV Dr. Phil McGraw's father said to him as a boy when he would voice wild plans or notions. It means that talk is cheap relative to performance, or that promising something and delivering on it are two different things. A phrase similar in meaning is "Money talks, bullshit walks."
