Abilene

A small town in West Texas that has a population of roughly 115,000 people. It is around two hours away from Dallas, TX and is known mainly for its three private Universities and for Abilene High School, its main high school whose football team has won several state championships. It more recently has become known for its newly-built medical magnet high school named Holland Medical High School. While most who have never been to Abilene or assume sterotypes because they are ignorant about real Texans and assume it is lame and full of rednecks it is actually a culturally diverse town full of men and women who have manners and highly intellectual conversations. Those who are from Abilene (Abilenians) are very smart and appreciate the arts and are well rounded with a good sense of family and proper morals because they have not grown up in a larger city full of unneccesary partying and unneccesarily rude persons. Abilene is not an exciting town in the least to those from towns full of night clubs. Fun is more retro such as going to parks, movies, the lake, or strolling the historic downtown area. Abilene is a good place to raise a family and many do choose to raise their children in Abilene and later move so as to have children who are more respectful of things and people though they may move to bigger cities.

Fuck-on-able (Fuck-on-ability Rating)

Originating in the construction and remodeling trades. The Fuck-on-ability Rating is a measure from 1 to 10 of sturdiness and stability in an installed fixture such as a counter-top, toilet, wall, etc. The sturdiness or stability of the fixture is tested by the act of vigorously fucking upon or against the installed fixture until the fixture either becomes disengaged from its mounted surface or the fucking is completed without structural failure. If the fixture fails at any point during the Fuck-on-ability Rating test procedure, it cannot be re-installed and the project must continue without the failed fixture.

A fucked B on the toilet that was just installed for an hour straight and it is still held tight against the floor without any leaks. It is Fuck-on-able (Fuck-on-ability Rating) of 10.

C fucked D on the countertop that was just installed for less than 30 seconds before it completely ripped out of the wall, sending both C and D to the ground in a filthy admixture of lumber, metal, and shame. The countertop is NOT Fuck-on-able (Fuck-on-ability Rating) of 1. The countertop may not be re-installed and the apartment or house must be completed without a countertop.

Abilene

A small town in west Texas, named for a paradoxical phenomena where nobody can explain why they have gone to Abilene.

The phenomena is typically seen in groups of people, where one member jokingly suggests they journey to Abilene, and the rest of the members all agree to go. After arriving in Abilene, it becomes apparent that no member of the group, not even the one who made the suggestion, wanted to go to Abilene in the first place. The Paradox is formed around the concept of Group Think, where each member of the group belies that everybody else wants to go to Abilene, and that they would be ostracised for not wanting to go to Abilene.

Joe: Why did we go to Abilene?

Mary: I don't know; you and Steve wanted to go to Abilene.

Steve: I thought you wanted to see Abilene.

Mary: I only went 'cause you an' Joe wanted to go to Abilene.

Joe: I hate going to Abilene.
