scaunge

Making an irritating demand on someone for something that is of far less an importance. To irritate someone that owes you so little as if life depended on it. Complaining so much about something so little. Whining over stuff that's not worth all the effort.
I owed him $55 but only had $54 on me. The next day he comes scaunging at the office about it. His cab was $2.

I was late by less than a minute, but the next 10 were a scaungery about time and Commitments.

A demeaning way to describe someone who looks scroungy or dirty; wearing tattered clothing, having messy hair, etc. Anything that makes you look disheveled, makes you a scroungemuffin.

It’s basically raggamuffin but using the word scrounge instead of ragga as the prefix. Except raggamuffin usually refers to children, where as scroungemuffin can refer to people who look poor of any age.
Person 1: “Cindy is such a scroungemuffin.”
Person 2: “I know, she looks like she hasn’t showered in weeks...”
Person 1: “I bet she shops at Goodwill.”

Cindy: “Hey I’m back, sorry I look like such a scroungemuffin.”

scrunge dust

The grungy, dusty material, usually gray in color, that is produced as the result of "scratching off" an instant lottery ticket or some other card-like item, which has a coating over some areas, to conceal the printing underneath from view, until a later time.
The entire area of the convenient store, where folks scratch lottery tickets was caked with scrunge dust.

Scournge refers to the act of digging around for something (scrounging) and being disdainful of what one finds (scorn).

Why, you ask, do we need this word? The English language will finally have a rhyme for "orange."
