A term that Howard Beach native, Gabriella Monte coined back in February of 2022, where instead of asking for mittens to retrieve a hot dish from the oven, she shockingly asked for "miffens..." This triggered a lightbulb for the beautiful yet confused young girl, prompting her to commercialize the creation of these fashionable gloves; meant to be utilized within the confines of a chef's kitchen.
