If a child is so glued to an iPad screen that if he/she has it removed it will cause an explosion.

“Mom! He is not putting the family iPad down!”
Mom: “oh not another case of iPad kid syndrome! “

iPad Kid

Children that were given an iPad at a young age. They're usually loud, annoying and like Roblox, Fortnite, Cocomelon and RyansToysReviews. Their iPads are usually crusty amd dirty; covered in cheeto dust. If they were forced to go outside, they'll come up to you and ask if you have games on your phone; if you answer no they'll start screaming and throwing a tantrums. Their mothers are usually karens that spoil them rotten.

Two fine examples of an iPad kid are Quackity and Screech from DOORS.

A: Why is this iPad so dirty?
B: Oh don't touch that, it belongs to lil Timmy, he's an iPad Kid

Being the backronym for "Indonesian people addicted to devices-type kid", this pejorative slang term meaning "screen addict" refers to the country Indonesia having world's highest average screen time, i.e. 7 hours 38 minutes per day as of 2025.

With kids in every corner of Jakarta glued to their phones, it's hard not to call them all iPad kids these days!

A kid born between 2012-2020 who is constantly using an ipad to watch stupid videos or play stupid money-grabbing games. Typically an entitled brat.

iPad kid society

The moniker given to the country Indonesia as the country with world's highest average screen time — i.e. 6.05 hours per day throughout early 2020's, now 7 hours 38 minutes per day as of 2025. This Indonesian people's screen time is claimed to "rival that of iPad kids", hence the prefix "i-" in this slang term "iPad kid society" (meaning "the society consisting of persons who are addicted to screens") akcually stands for "Indonesia".

With everyone in Indonesia glued to their screens for over 7 hours a day, it's no wonder we call it the iPad kid society.
