Delmonting

When a programmer deploys a piece of code on a Friday afternoon and leaves for the weekend, completely unaware that their piece of code just took down the entire product and no one else knows how to fix the problem because the code is either way too complex or just completely incoherent.

This company has not tolerant delmonting.

New Democrats

Far from original Dems like FDR, New Democrats are essentially any Democrat following Jimmy Carter. They like to call themselves "center left" but in actuality according to their policies, platforms and voting records their center to center-right at best. They're typically pro-corporate pro-war and are very friendly with Republicans.

Jason: "Did you know Hillary used to be a cowgirl Republican"?
Larry: "Well that's not surprising considering she's one of the "New Democrats"

Social democrat

A Social democrat is a centre-leftist or libertarian leftist, who supports a mixed economy with some government regulation on essential services or government ownership, in order to prevent corperat abuse of these services. Social democrats also support environment regulation, public education to level out the playing field, and social programes to help the less fortunate become better off.

Social democrats include Canada's NDP and many Northern European governments, which contributed to Northern Europe's modern Hight standard of living.

Deimos

The smallest moon of Mars, named after one of the chief horsemen of Mars, the Roman god of war. Literally means "panic". Best known for its irregular potato-like shape.

The mars probe went past Deimos and disappeared.

democrahonk

The honking of a car horn, consisting of three long blasts followed by four short ones, followed by two long ones, to mimic the rhythm of the pro-labor, call-and-response chant:

"Show me what democracy looks like! This is what democracy looks like!"

Motorists driving around the Capitol building democrahonked in solidarity with pro-labor demonstrators who were marching on the sidewalk.
