Pashmina Brigade

The collective term for a group of wealthy, upper-middle-class, usually white young women or girls. They come from English public-school backgrounds and are distinguishable through their speech ("yaaaar, daaaaahling") and their dressing, which often involves hugely tousled blonde hair and a pashmina, hence the name. A sweatshirt from the school Lacross/Hockey/Netball team, often with an individualised nickname across it (eg. TEQUILA) may also be used. An individual member of the Pashmina Brigade is known as a sloane.

Why the hell did we go to Crazy Larry's? It's overrun by the Pashmina Brigade.

Devil's Brigade

A joint American-Canadian commando group which served in WWII. Composed primarily of lumberjacks, forest rangers, hunters, and game wardens, they received rigorous and intensive training in stealth tactics, hand-to-hand combat, the use of explosives for demolition, amphibious warfare, rock climbing and mountain fighting, and as ski troops. Their formation patch was a red arrowhead with the words CANADA and USA. They even had a specially designed fighting knife made for them called the V-42.

They were the real heroes who liberated Rome, not the fully-American soldiers, as widley assumed.

A group of female fans of one male character or celebrity/personality. Most frequent among Sci-Fi/Fantasy fans, but is expanding. Pretty much where a horny woman can drool and talk about her new dream man. (Whether he be real or not.)
