The attempt to describe the operational principles of the most fundamental aspects of reality: being, consciousness, identity, time, and causality. It's mechanics applied to first philosophy. How does causality work? What is the "mechanism" by which possibility becomes actuality? It's highly abstract, trying to sketch the wiring diagram of existence itself, often using logic and reason rather than empirical data.

The mechanism of change is an illusion created by consciousness moving along a fixed world-line in the 4D block. Psionic Mechanics Theory

A subset of paranormal mechanics focused specifically on proposing scientific-sounding mechanisms for psionic abilities: telepathy, telekinesis, clairvoyance. It often borrows from electromagnetism, quantum theory, or hypothetical bio-fields to explain how a mind could affect matter or another mind at a distance. It's the tech spec for a psychic power.

Example: "The Psionic Mechanics Theory in the sci-fi novel stated that telepathy uses modulated tachyon bursts from the pineal gland. Telekinesis was the manipulation of the quantum vacuum with focused intention. It was a full-blown, faux-physics cheat sheet to make psychic powers feel like a plausible, if advanced, technology."

Psychic Mechanics Theory

Essentially synonymous with Psionic Mechanics Theory, but often with a slightly softer, more organic or spiritual connotation. Where "psionic" sounds technological, "psychic" might imply a natural, innate human potential. The mechanics might be framed in terms of "energy channels," "vibrations," or "morphogenetic fields" rather than tachyons.

Example: "The new-age healer's Psychic Mechanics Theory described auras as bio-plasmic energy fields, with clairvoyance working by 'resonating' your field with a distant person's to receive impressions. It was a biomechanical metaphor, painting the psychic as a sensitive organic instrument rather than a mental radio transmitter."

Combat Mechas

Large, armed, and armored piloted humanoid robots designed for warfare, typically depicted as walking tanks with the dexterity of a human and the firepower of a platoon. They are weapons platforms meant for complex, urban, or rough terrain where treads or wheels fail, combining mobility over obstacles with the ability to use standard infantry weapons and tools at a giant scale. The fantasy is the ultimate fusion of pilot and machine, a knight in powered armor magnified tenfold.

Combat Mechas Example: The AT-AT walkers from Star Wars are a form of Combat Mecha, as are the Battlemechs from the MechWarrior franchise—giant, customizable robots dueling with lasers, missiles, and autocannons in a futuristic gladiatorial combat that is equal parts strategy and machine piloting skill.

Kardashevian Mechanics

The branch of mega-engineering and physics concerned with the practical construction, stabilization, and operation of the unimaginably vast structures and energy systems required by high-level Kardashev civilizations. It's the "nuts and bolts" of godlike power: the math for stabilizing a rotating ringworld, the materials science for a Dyson Sphere's solar-collector panels, or the orbital dynamics for moving stars. This is the applied engineering manual for beings who treat planets as LEGO bricks and stars as furnaces.

Example: The calculations needed to prevent a Matrioshka Brain (a nested series of Dyson Spheres) from collapsing into its star under gravity and radiation pressure, or the logistics of using gravitational lensing to focus multiple stars' energy onto a single point for a project, are problems of Kardashevian Mechanics.

A speculative branch of physics proposing that the fundamental nature of reality is not particulate (made of tiny balls) but vibrational (made of standing waves, frequencies, and resonances). In this view, what we perceive as solid matter, forces, and even time are emergent properties of underlying vibrational patterns in a field or substrate. "Mechanics" here refers to the study of the motion and interaction of these frequency-based entities. It suggests that changing an object's fundamental frequency could alter its mass, location, or phase of existence—the ultimate "vibe shift" as physics.
