Trailer talk is when a person sees a commercial trailer for a movie, and later talks about the movie to friends as if they've seen it, usually to save face.

Often, the said person only talks about events that are shown in the trailers.

Person 1:"Dude, did you see Quarantine?"
Person 2:"Yeah! That movie was awesome."
Person 1:"What was your favorite part?"
Person 2:"When the girl got dragged away, it was so scary."
Person 1:"That was the end! Stop yo' trailer talk, you haven't seen it."
