Derogatory term/slur used by Europeans (especially Italians) to refer to Italian-Americans in an English-speaking contest. Comes from seppo + pepperoni and is used when Italian-Americans who don't know anything about Italy and actual Italians claim that they're fully Italian and get offended when told they're not Italian if they're from Brooklyn or Chicago. Apparently Americans are super proud to be American but get mad when you say they're not also another nationality smh

Person 1: hey isn't it crazy how everyone outside of Italy just sucks at making pasta?
Person 2: I know, it's crazy. Not even Italian restaurants do it right abroad, it's always too bland or overcooked or the flavors they use make no sense.

I'm Italian just like you guys cause my great-great-grandma came from which is totally an Italian dishSicily and she taught me how to cook perfect spaghetti with meatballs, which is totally a real Italian thing!
