Message Mirage

When you think you just saw your Blackberry or smartphone flash (the result of a message) in your peripheral vision, so you go check your phone but to your surprise, it was just a message mirage.

Dude after I sent that risky text I was so happy to see my phone blinking, but turns out it was just a damn message mirage.

A term used to describe the day of a brutal, painful hangover when you've finally recovered the following day.

The origin coming from the saying "I was a mess yesterday" when describing the day after a night of late partying, boozing, etc.

Luke: How was your weekend?
Joan: I went out all night on Saturday for my going away party and messterday I was just useless.
