Dilution Fallacy

When a word is forcefully broadened to the point where it loses its purpose, not through natural evolution, but for the sake of inclusion or ideology. Broadening something so much it renders its purpose non existent or lesser as a result.
“The sky is grey”

“What? It’s blue!”

“Grey just means any color that isn’t white!””

“That’s just a dilution fallacy, grey means a specific color, spontaneously ditching that for your opinion is insane!”

Alternatively:

“Let Timmy have a drivers license!”

“But he can’t drive!”

“Don’t worry, drivers licenses are meant to include everyone! It just means anyone with an interest in qualifying for driving!”

“That’s just a dilution fallacy, it no longer means what it’s supposed to!”

Is the best every year, and is proven wrong 9/10 years. Despite numbers, and facts they continue to believe local media hype, only to be disappointed.
Delusional Homer: “Syracuse football is the best! They won 10 games last year, I expect 8 wins every season from here on out!”

“Dude you do know that Syracuse has the worst record on the ACC the last 12 years, and football does not matter at Syracuse? It’s a basketball school, or a lacrosse school.”

Delusional Homer: “fuck you, I’m
Always right, and you are wrong!”

Granbiose Delusions

1) Delusions of inflated worth to the fashion world;
2) Belief of self's immense trend-setting powers;
3) Obscure paranoia: Everybody IS watching, but only to copy your clothing
His Granbiose Delusions were again evident when he stated "as a longstanding advocate of the Gentleman's Brogue, I'm dismayed to see every sap on the high street tap-dancing around in my once exclusive finery".

LOL diffusion

When "LOL" is used as qualifier used to diffuse tension at the end of a particularly serious statement. The user of this qualifier usually anticipates a negative reaction (the nature of which is either anger or awkwardness) from the listener, and uses "LOL" as a sheild to prevent any anger or offense from being reflected back toward them.
After posting a particularly passive aggressive Facebook post, user them comments on own post:

"PS.. This has nothing to do with any particular person, or anything else. If you are upset about this post then you may need to seek out and fix your issues. Lol"

Reader then takes offense.....

User says, "I said LOL, you can't get mad. I used LOL Diffusion!"
