County of Bedfordshire 50 miles north of London, Bedford is central to Bedfordshire famous for the clanger, originally a steamed suet pudding jam one side & bacon & onion the other side steamed & eaten by the field workers around Bedfordshire for lunch, passed down to me by my nan who made it & was a worker in the Fields around Bedfordshire. Bedford a stunning place with friendly people & nice restaurants with the train line going straight to & from London in about 40 minutes. Easy reach & surrounded by Northampton, Milton Keynes, St Neots, Biggleswade & Luton. Marston moretaine home of captain tom moore. Marston Vale for walks.
