someone who follows people, butts into conversations and invites themselves to places. Sometimes goobers just sit and listen to conversations and don't add nor give the impression that they are listening. A goober is just an all-around is just a pushy person. Goobers are very annoying. One can usually find a goober standing behind you awkwardly. Goobers can also be called losers.
