podcast guilt

noun
That nagging, low-level anxiety caused by an ever-growing list of unlistened podcast episodes. Often accompanied by FOMO, the feeling that you’re “falling behind” on important conversations, and the urge to binge-listen at 1.5× speed just to chip away at the backlog. Common symptoms include doom-scrolling your podcast app, sporadic end-of-year purges, and occasionally declaring “podcast bankruptcy” (marking everything as played without listening).
