Similar to catfish, these people aren't who they say they are, but instead of lying about the way they look they are lying about something else, like having a secret family, or dating to con their romantic partners out of money.
Person 1: "How are things going with Brad?"
Person 2: "Oh we broke up. You know those business trips he was taking to San Francisco? He was actually visiting his WIFE and their THREE CHILDREN. A total dogfish!"
