We called him a craig butler because the problems he fixed did nothing to help the school they just made him as a person feel better. Ned Vizzini wrote the book in approximately one month and used about 85% of his actual experience; he added in the love triangle, changed his age during the events, manipulated the races and personalities of the actual people there, and changed some names around.
