The worst kind of pacifist, the kind that would kill to prove they're not weak.

The activist would slaughter people before letting them call him/her out on being weak.

craptivist

Someone who gets unbelievably passionate about human rights, social change, equality etc. etc. They have strong opinions and (occasionally) sound theories but do nothing about them. This person only voices their opinion when they don't believe they'll get called out, but never stick to their guns when faced with a situation which challenges the beliefs they care about so keenly.

Sally:"Karen saw someone get sexually harassed the other day and didn't say anything about it, wasn't she going on about how more women need to stick up for each other?"

Ben: "Ugh, she's such a craptivist"

Activist

The difference between many, if not most activists and pacifists, is an activist would kill in order to look like something other than weak, or passive.

The activist wouldn't suffer the humiliation and shame of being called a pacifist by others, he/she couldn't handle it, so he/she became an activist who appeared to be active and ready at all times instead, and tried to be the persecutor, rather than the persecuted.

An expert at using guilt, intimidation and the threat of racial violence to shake down whitey.

What do you call a white guy who talks of white rage, and the threat of racial violence? A despicable racist. What do you call a black guy who talks about black rage, and the threat of racial violence? A black activist.

animal rights activist

Bored suburban white kid with waaay too much time on his/her hands.

Found in decadent wealthy societies where most people have more food than they need and anthropomorphize their overfed pets.

Irrelevant in developing nations or to people who have real life problems to worry about.

The animal rights activist screamed and ranted in front of Macy's while brandishing photoshopped pictures of roadkill. "See this poor little innocent animal that died for your sins in this evil leg-breaking trap!!" The homeless family across the street was unimpressed.

Ego activist (noun): 1. "activist" more occupied with stroking their tender ego than actually helping the cause, and/or using actions done for a cause to glorify themselves.

"Sarah is such an ego-activist. When I visited her, she spent half the time bragging about how much her solar panel arrays were reducing net carbon emissions and power grid stress."

I am a "Social Activist" and I would like to spread knowledge, and support charities and our brothers and sisters in arms.
