boilerplate

Used synonymously with generic or canned. A "boilerplate" statement is a statement which is the first, most generic statement used in response to a question. Usually extremely fucking obvious to anyone. Can be a redundant suggestion, feedback or response with zero value.

1: "just be yourself! I'm sure you'll do great!"

2: "The world is so big, there's always gonna be someone who shares interests with you!"
3: "i know that's always easier said than done.."
4: "I can't imagine what you're going through.."
