Lost in textation

When one is so absorbed in texting on their cellular device you cannot break their attention from it. Often they are looking down at their phone while you are trying to get their attention.

Johnny was lost in textation, I tried to get his attention but he continued to stare at his phone as he texted Joey. Finally when he finished his conversation he looked up and said, "What?"

Textasation

When many text messages are sent and received by two people in quick succession. This can be compared to a conversation face to face - except it isn't.

John tetxs: What's up Britt
Britt tetxs: Not much, how was your day?
John texts: It was great, but I'd love to see you sometime soon
Britt texts: Yeah for sure but let's not turn this into a textasation...I don't have an unlimited plan

a relationship bound strictly to text messages with the absence of an actual physical connection, including but not limited to dates, sex, etc. One may use pictures, Facebook, or sexts, but it is strictly a telephone based relationship.

My, that lad has been in a textationship with her for sometime now. Do you think it will ever become at least Facebook official? I know they talked about meeting at Starbucks.

A relationship based off of texting only. Most of the couples' intimate moments, deep conversations, and inside jokes happen over texting. If you see them together, it's never for a long period of time, because they'd rather be texting. Also, talking on the phone NEVER happes!

The state in which two people text/DM/IM each other constantly yet never actually form a legitimate relationship. This can happen based on distance, family obligations, and other circumstances. Also called bullcrapping.

Dude 1: hey man, I see you and dudette talk a lot. You guys serious?
