Sideline Parent

A parent who likes to tell a child what he or she should do but is not directly involved in their everyday lives or only on occasion. The "parent" only watches and observes said child from the "side" or "sideline" but are not directly involved in their everyday life or activities.
My dad always tells me what to do and judges me without even knowing the circumstance or my day-to-day life. He's a sideline parent.

My mom always assumes that im doing something wrong when she doesn't even know me or what i do everyday. What a sideline parent..

Sidelined

To not be considered or taken seriously. Theoretically or physically to be always stuck “on the bench” of life, in other words, in any situation/circumstance you are taken out as a key player.
“Even though he asked me to the movies, I sidelined that real quick.

He’s cute, but not my type.

I could never take him seriously.”

sideline

In sports, the people on the sideline don't get noticed, they're in the background.
Don't let the whining mollycoddle fool you, she got as much sports playing time as a kid as any other kid, her mother and father watched as many of her little league games as they did those of their male children, and she was the kind of person that liked attention so much she would try to walk over anybody she thought was weaker or more passive than her to get it. If you listened to her lies, you would think her mother and father didn't even notice her and that she had to do 10 times as much to prove she was just as worthy as a boy, when really the narrative is a means to an end, a way for her to keep getting the attention she was always accustomed to getting since birth because she was a bully (the kind that bullied due to too little discipline instead of too much). It's everyone around her that always had to prove that they were still worthy of anything once she arrived somewhere, it was everyone around her that had to prove they were not already obsolete, outdated, phased out, or useless (and ready for demolition). She was Buzz Lightyear, her mother's new flying toy. How could anyone not be obsolete when Buzz Lightyear came around? It mattered only to Buzz Lightyear who was on the sideline.

Sidelined

To be pushed aside for someone/something else.
If your friend meets someone new in the club and completely ignores you, you just got sidelined.

Sideliner

Someone who lives vicariously through others while being oblivious to their own failures as a human being. The kind of person to talk shit at you from behind their armed bodyguards and still have the audacity to call you a pussy. A common example is how people will call another person jealous because the person criticized a rich person for their greed. They live their lives on the sidelines because they cheer for someone and taunt others on their behalf, while receiving none of the success that that person has and ignoring the character flaws that likely contributed to their success.
Ex: Being a brokie and defending Elon musk and other billionaires that contribute to wealth inequality worldwide

Ex 2: "that guy is such a sideliner. He typed in the chat "lmao ez" even though he's at the bottom of the scoreboard and did nothing to contribute to his team winning."

Saltbae is a sideliner. He trespassed onto the field at the world cup, snatched the trophy from Argentina, and started taking pictures with it as if he was the part of the team
