Chegg bait

A near-impossible problem put on engineering or science exams to determine who is using online resources like Chegg. Works best for take home-exams, since a student would be able to Google the problem more easily in a non-proctored environment. A professor will typically enlist a teaching assistant to post a convincing yet erroneous answer on sites like Chegg ahead of time. Also known as a "cheat check".

Joe: "How'd you do question 5 on the thermodynamics exam?"
John: "I found the answer on Chegg. It looked right."
Joe: "You fell for the Chegg bait. The TA posted that answer, and there's an intentional error in it!"

chegg

noun: A site used primarily by physics and calculus students to get answers to their ridiculously difficult homework, quizzes, tests, etc (but can be used for other classes as well). Kinda like Slader but you're paying to get answers from experts. Chegg accounts are sometimes shared among classmates due to its high monthly cost.
verb: The act of receiving answers from the site.

Student 1: Hey did you do the circuit problems for that Physics 2 take home?
Student 2: Yeah man I chegged it last night.

A gamer term for "fucked up", especially referring to odd or strange accidents that are seemingly impossible to achieve within the normal laws of physics. Named after PlanetSide 2 developer Adam Clegg, who is notorious for his ability to push further the frontier of physics simulation and game engines.

Player 1: "That drop ship looks like an ostrich with its head in the sand."
Player 2: "Yeah, Adam Clegged up again."
