aspirational hotel

A hotel or vacation resort which is oh-so-expensive (room rent is, say over US$400 a night,) out-of-reach of all but multi-millionaires & billionaires. Therefore it's a big deal when a middle-class or kind-of-rich person can use a free-hotel award to stay there!

I got 2 free nights to stay at any Hyatt aspirational hotel in the world for getting the Hyatt Visa card, so I used them at the Hyatt Paris Vendome to stay in a room costing 700 euros a night!

Asplundher

The big load of fragrant wood-chips that the tree-service guys drive home with after each workday of trimming roadside vegetation.

If you ask super-nicely, the tree-trimming crew may dump their humongous load of Asplundher in your yard, so that you can use it for spreading on pathways; it saves them from having to drive all the way to the dump to offload the chips.

Asparagher's syndrome

Can refer to either of two equally-eccentric mental afflictions pertaining to asparagus:

(1) An overall confusion and OCD-like behavior caused by consuming too much asparagus.
(2) An obsession with asparagus and its supposed health-benefits. Often the sufferer will attempt to share said interest/beliefs with others in his community, causing said fellow citizens varying levels of discomfort, often depending upon how much a particular person likes asparagus.

Brer Rabbit surely acted kinda weird sometimes throughout da Uncle Remus tales; we do all know what his favorite food was, though, so I wonder if maybe he had Asparagher's syndrome.

Someone you meet off a dating site in the hope of getting over the one you really want to be with.

A "meet date" to distract yourself from the pain of a "shituationship" you're in that isn't going anywhere.

"These aspirin dates aren't enough to get me over Rick".
