An Italian Handkerchief is when you have a runny nose and do not have anything to blow into. You plug your free nostril with a finger or thumb, turn your head to the opposite side, inhale, close your mouth and exhale through the clogged nostril. The offending nose nuggets are then forcibly projected to the ground. Oh yeah - do this OUTSIDE!
